Because of the size of a wearable monitor, there is very little room for batteries or hardware. Space is #1 limiting factor. Space is needed for the hardware that samples, processes and runs base diagnostics. #2 is power consumption. The bottom line is that it takes time to run multiple processes. Time = battery consumption. as a result, there is a limit to what most wearables can do.
ONLY MONITOR ONE CONDITION
Power consumption and space leave few options for wearable devices. The only choice is to monitor one condition at a time, or multiple conditional markers like Hydration and temperature. The footwear gives valuable options, such as cost, convenience, battery, space for Flexible and Ridged sensors. This platform overcomes many of the obstacles and provides technical accuracy not yet achieved in today's wearables. An array of different integrated sensors, including optical, and Electrochemical collects the physiological data for analysis, processes and transmits in real time.
